My charge 5 will not charge. I have tried the suggestion regarding the button on the usb charger, and it does not work.
Have seen the fitbit logo, and then get vibrations, first 1, then 2. and the logo flashes on and off, then I see a line across the watch face.
EDIT: seems to be working now, regular flashes of logo and vibrations. Not sure what the line was about though
EDIT 2: has charged but not working properly.
A) Will only sync if attached to charger.
B) When on wrist, does not show heart rate and Fitbit logo keeps appearing
C) have done a reset

Hi there, @suekay26. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm glad to hear that you managed to solve the issue with your Charge 5.
Regarding your question, we are not sure what might have caused this, but we would expect this to be one glitch and I would ask you to keep an eye on your Charge 5, and in the case this happens again, please let me know and I will be glad to further investigate.

Hi again.
Battery lost charge very quickly and fitbit died. At the moment it is attached to the charger and vibrating every few seconds then showing the logo.
I have no idea what to do. Have used the button to reset numerous times. It's version 20001.194.91.
When did this update happen?? It was fine until Wednesday of this week!

@suekay26 Thanks for the update. I understand where your concern is coming from.
As a first approach, please bear in mind that as all rechargeable batteries age, they deteriorate to some extent and an older device will need to be charged more often than a new one. The best way of minimizing this effect is to avoid deep discharges of the battery. To maximize the overall life of your Fitbit device's battery, ideally keep it between 20-80%. Many people find that a daily battery boost works best ( e.g. giving it a 15 minutes charge while you are showering in the morning). For more tips and recommendations, please make sure you've tried all tips and recommendations provided here Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?
In addition, since you've mentioned that this started happening after the update, please try to logout of the Fitbit app and swipe off the active face on your phone and turn off the phone's Bluetooth, then hold the watch button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for it to start.
