Charge 5 won't hold a charge

HI,

I bought the Fitbit on 22nd May 2023 through Amazon India.  Return policy was till 28th May.

On 30th May, the Fitbit was not holding charge even for 10 mins.  I tried twice to test this by charging 100%. I use the USB charging cable given by Fitbit

Also, the Fitbit Help number for India cannot be dialed either from Iphone or Android and there are no instructions how to dial this number as well.

Hi, @Skumble91, welcome to the community, you can reach "Customer Support" via the chat facility or phone for prompt attention. FYG this is a dynamic link & should provide you with your local contact details. It's a good move to make a note of the steps you have taken and the results so you can brief the agent clearly. You should check Fitbit's warranty as you appear to be outside Amazon's returns period. Inevitably this will rely on Indian consumer law.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

You should try to contact customer support by using the link on the Fitbit website. If they give you the option to return the product for a refund, I suggest you take the refund rather than get a replacement. Based on the enormous number of posts about this type of problem, your experience is not unusual for a Charge 5.

Hi there, @Skumble91. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 5.  @Surfista @Gr4ndp4 Thank you so much for your help and advice!

I've seen you contacted our Support Team after posting here via email. Please stay tuned to your inbox, someone will reach out to you shortly.

In the meantime, please try restarting your Charge 5 by following the steps below:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end if the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

Please see my comment above. The sooner you contact customer support, the more likely it is that they will be able to replace your device or provide a refund.
