Charge 5 won't pair after being unresponsive

Hey there, I'm stuck with Charge 5 which recently got back from the Fitbit Repair Service after an unresponsive episode. The device now works (ie. it's responsive and tracks stuff) but it won't pair with an Android 12 phone via Fitbit app. Here's what I tried already to troubleshoot the issue:

  • device restarts (both from the Settings menu and on the charger cable)
  • phone restarts/shut down, cool-down, start up
  • force stop app
  • allow all permissions
  • delete all fitbit app data
  • reinstall app
  • forget all bluetooth devices in the phone
  • both devices are fully charged and connected to the charger
  • both devices are a couple of inches away

No matter what I try, the result is always the same - I try to add new device in the Fitbit app, select Charge 5, agree to whatever I need to agree with, start pairing procedure upon which it takes awfully long to get the pairing code and the pairing starts (I see the pairing animation on the Charge 5 display). It fails to pair every single time. I also tried this guide to no avail. I'm pretty frustrated and the last thing I want to do is to send it back to Repair Service. Please help otherwise a heavy duty hammer gets its go at it.

One thing, maybe you are already doing, but it often helps to move any other bluetooth devices as far away as possible.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

That didn't help either, unfortunately.
