Why do I not get any notifications when the battery needs charging? I used to get an email when the Alta HR was at 20% but I don't get anything for the Charge 5. Although the majority of the time I try to remember to charge up twice a week, I do sometimes forget and have got to critical battery level so the email notification was a really useful reminder for me.
I have tried toggling off and on in the notifications, have restarted the device, switched bluetooth off and on again but nothing seems to work. Has anyone found a solution or is this yet another random and annoying Fitbit quirk?

As a first approach, I'd like to share with you that in order to receive up-to-date battery low notifications, you'll need to make sure that your Fitbit device is syncing to your Fitbit app periodically. This notification works based on how often your Fitbit device syncs, if your Charge 5 doesn't sync to your Fitbit app there is no way for it to send you a notification letting you know that the battery is low.
With the above being said, please make sure that your Charge 5 is syncing properly. In case you've been experiencing syncing difficulties, please see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
Also, please check if you've followed the steps provided here to properly enable the battery low notifications.

Thanks for the response. It is definitely syncing OK - when you say "periodically" how often should that happen as I normally do at least once per day?
I have followed all the other steps and all the notification boxes for low battery are checked.
The email notifications have never worked on the Charge 5, even when I first had it and was syncing several times a day.
