Charge 5 won’t sync

All morning my charge 5 won’t sync to my iPhone 11. I’ve gone through every step including uninstalling the app, turning blue tooth off and on, pairing again, restarting both devices. Only thing I haven’t done is a factory reset which I had to do last month when alarms stopped working and I don’t really want to do again if that’s not the problem.

I bought a charge 5 today exactly same issue as you turns out problems at fitbit side so the app can't get the files it needs,  I'm sure it'll be back soon

I’ve been having the same sync problems today as mentioned above. Hopefully it’s just a server issue that will be solved soon

FitBit just released an Update on Android. Installing it, forgetting my Charge 5 in the App and re-adding it again seemed to sync once before it fails again.

After 2 hours with my new charge 5 trying to update,  I figured out its not just me and down detector confirms issues at fitbit,  I'm sure it'll be back later or tomorrow

It’s frustrating that Fitbit haven’t made a statement/apology or given an explanation.
Or perhaps they have and I’ve missed it?

Like you, I have been a faithful Fitbit user, but these sync problems are extremely frustrating. It seems my Charge 5 has had intermittent sync issues since the beginning, but this latest sync problem is by far the worst.

Hi All, i have the exact same issue, and am wondering if it has  to do with the latest iphone update.  I bought mine on 8/13, set it up that night, was working and syncd just fine.  My system updated sometime over the weekend (maybe Sunday night?) and now it won’t sync yesterday or today. It shows as connected, and the app recognizes my current steps, but won’t sync the rest of the data and at the top it keeps saying it failed to sync.  I’ve tried troubleshooting all the same steps that have been mentioned before several times to no avail. Very disappointed. Had charge 3, and loved it. Was excited for charge 5 and am regretful now.

I’ve been dealing with my Charge 5 not syncing since 6am EST. I have tried everything: restarted both my iPhone and Fitbit several times, uninstalled the app, unpaired and paired. I even reset my charge 5 to factory settings! It pairs fine to my phone and the app, but then when I try to sync it doesn’t!

That would be my guess, too. The last software update seems to have really taken a powder.

tried all steps. Restarted iPhone and Fitbit Charge 5 

reset Bluetooth, Wifi

It appears that the App cannot reach the Fitbit server

Agree. My wife has iphone and no issues. i have Android and cant sync today.It must be software related.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Same thing is happening to me today. Have tried everything. The strange part is my live heart rate shows up in the app, so it’s clearly connecting to my Fitbit, the data just can’t be transferred. Really regret getting the Charge 5, it’s been nothing but trouble. Wish I could return it and get another brand but I got it 8 months ago.

I’m having the same issues. I’ve tried everything. I want Fitbit charge 4 back! This charge 5 was already annoying with its plea to “add wallet” every time I would open the Fitbit app. Now it just won’t sync. Definitely a downgrade with a higher price!!

Add me to the growing list of angry charge 5 users….. it’s so frustrating that so many people are impacted. If this a Fitbit backend issue as have tried across various Apple i-devices and all throw the same problems.

 

guess the pink banner says it all, but would be nice if they could contact C5 users with an email saying it’s a known issue and not to worry.
