This is the second time in less than a week that the Fitbit Charge 5 has stopped syncing globally.
I have been a faithful Fitbit user since 2013. I upgraded to the Fitbit Charge 5 a month ago and although I love many of the features, I have to say that I am very disappointed with how unreliable it has been. I’m thinking about going back to using my Fitbit Alta HR.

I appreciate all the information that you've shared about the difficulty you're experiencing with your Charge 5.
As you mentioned earlier, there was an outrage a few days ago that prevented many Charge 5 users from syncing their information as usual. Many users have reported that this has been resolved for them and you should now be able to sync your data.
In case you continue to experience the same problem, I recommend that you try restarting the device using the three pulse restart method described here below:
In addition to the restart, let me know if you already tried all the steps listed here to resolve syncing problems, and make sure to check the compatibility requirements listed here and to keep the Fitbit app updated to the latest version available.
