The screen on my Fitbit Charge 5 stopped showing anything on November 15, 2024. I plugged it in to charge it, but the screen didn’t come on. I could tell that there was a connection because I felt the watch buzz when connected to the charger. First, I cleaned the receptors with rubbing alcohol. I spent the next few days trying to reattach it to the charger. Each time it buzzed showing it was connected, but the screen didn’t come on.
I purchased my first Fitbit in 2015. Since then, I purchased one on March 23, 2019, January 28, 2020, and February 14, 2023. I have had the current and 5th Fitbit not quite two years. I like the product, but I am frustrated with having to replace it so often. My mobile syncing device is my android phone. We got new phones in January 2024, and I am realizing that I never synced my Fitbit with my new phone.

Please note that there are some issues that affect this, being which power source is used and how clean the contacts are and how well the charger is seated. If you are charging your Charge 5 on the wall socket, try using another CE certified USB adapter for low energy devices.
