I've paired my phone and charge 5 up but when I try to pass on the new charge 5 update it won't accept it and yes my phone is next to my charge 5 and charging. I need this new update as the battery runs to 0 from fully charged in just a little over an hour, the charge 5 is not worth wearing for an hour, help

@ian.pennington3 Thanks for confirming that you've tried those steps. I understand how you must be feeling.
As our last resort, I'd recommend performing a factory reset on your Charge 5. To do so, please swipe down from the clock screen to find the Settings app. On your Fitbit device, open the Settings app > Device Info > Clear User Data.
Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account, your applications, alarms, etc.

Nothing happens when I scroll down on my screen on my watch, still stays on clock face so this option is a no go
