I’ve not been able to take an ECG reading for a while. I’ve tried all the suggestions of deleting the app, restarting the device etc. All permissions are checked. It just doesn’t respond when I hold the sides to take a reading. Is the app broken and if so how do you report it?
No no error messages, it just doesn't take a reading. I've been using it successfully for years. The EDA scan works so it's not to do with it not responding to touch.
Hello @YMF
I seem to recall a thread about issues with the ECG app. I think there was a Moderator post acknowledging the issue and that the team was working on it.
I know the update to the Fitbit app, ver 4.16, has started rolling and includes bug fixes. Hopefully, the issue with the ECG app is one of the bug fixes in this update.
If I see a Moderator post confirming the ECG bug fix in the app update, I'll report back.

Hello @sandymwp
Your Charge 5 should have the ECG feature as long as you're in a supported region/country.
Have you had a chance to check in the Gallery for the ECG app and try to install it on your replacement device?

Best AnswerTry moistening your finger tips before taking a reading, if your fingers are dry you won't get a good connection between your fingers and the tracker.

Tried that and it still won’t work 🥲.

What I have noticed while trying to sort this is that when trying to take ecg reading the watch and phone lose Bluetooth connection. It stays that way until the ‘press your fingers on side of watch’ screen on phone vanishes then it reconnects to Bluetooth and phone 🧐
