Excercise shortcuts nit in default language

Hi, just getting to grips with a charge 5, my first fitbit, my first tracker!

On my Samsung A20 the app language is english, my location is set to UK. Although I do live in France. All the options within the app and on the fitbit are in english, except the exercise shortcuts ( I want to remove swimming and add walking) on the app are in French. 

How can I change this?

Just tell clarify the exercises on the Charge 5 are in english it is only on the app that they appear in french .

Hello @AndyDedee 

That's unusual.  It might be worth trying the old 'turn it off and turn it on again' fix.  First try selecting a different English- speaking location in the App, save, sync.  Then change it back to the UK and sync again.  See if it changes.

If that doesn't work, you can also try Restart Device on your Charge 5 by scrolling down from the Clock Face until you get to Settings.  Tap, then scroll up until you get to Restart Device and do that.  It's very quick.

Another thing to try is clearing the cache for the App on your phone.  Also have you checked if there any updates available for the App?

Hopefully one of these things will help.  If they don't, please tell us more details or attach a screenshot if you can, and somebody should be able to help you.

Thank you Wibby. Changed location from UK to Australia, save, sync. Exercises still in French.

changed from Australia back to UK, save, sync. exercises still in French.

Restarted Charge 5 sync, Exercises still in French.

Logged out of App and logged back in. exercises now in English.

with hindsight I think I should have changed location and logged out/logged in first.

so am I. Although I could fully understand in either french or english it annoyed me that those exercises got “stuck” in french.

I like to think that I did my research before getting the Charge 5 and so far it is doing everything that I want. I would like to see a calendar/agenda app and have registered that elsewhere.
