Fitbit Charge 5 Battery Depleting Daily

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

We had same issue with our charge 5 when we first got them last May.    The issue seemed to resolve a few months later with a firmware update.   Now I am having the issue again after the recent firmware update of 3.72. Version 20001.188.58.  It no longer lasts the 7 days.    I just charged it yesterday and in less than 18 hours I am at 82%.    What is going on?     I reset the watch.  I did the reset in the cable button as well.     This is ridiculous.

Thanks for getting back to us @PAS461. I created a new thread in order to keep our community organized and I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 battery is no longer lasting the 7 days.

Thank you for letting us know that you have reset the tracker. Please follow the instructions of help article: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Thanks. Most of what you stated, I already have. I do have the SPO and
GPS - Dynamic. That was always on. But shouldn't matter, as 99% of the
time I have my phone with me. I did change the GPS to my phone only.
Since I wrote the question, it has gone down to 78% (4% in less than 12
hours). We shall see.

Hi Andrea

Am having the exact same problem and have done all of the battery saving tips to no avail. My Charge 5 has never held charge for more than 24hrs from the day I received it in December last year. Have lodged problem with Apple and they said someone would get back to me regarding this and I’ve never heard from anyone. Disappointed

Hi, have done everything suggested and my Charge 5 battery still drains within 24hrs. Have been very disappointed with this version, never had an issue with my previous Charge 3, it lasted 3-4 days at least 😞

Thanks for getting back to us and for the clarification @HeidiL19

Charge 5 has built in GPS and if you use it often it will drain your battery fast. Charge 3 uses connected GPS that uses phone´s GPS to get the route.

Please check the article I shared with you on my previous post.

I had this issue yesterday too. It went from 54% battery yesterday afternoon to going completely dead throughout the night. Also it has not tracked my sleep the last few night ( this I mentioned on another thread & was told there had been an outage). Also yesterday it registered my 10,000 step but there is nothing on the graph after about 8am. What is going on?

I have had the GPS turned off for the past two weeks with no change, battery still drains within 24hrs. Could you please direct me to whom I need to contact regarding warranty/replacement/faults as I haven’t been happy with the product since purchase.
Thank you
