Fitbit Charge 5 Screen won't turn on

I used my Fitbit Charge 5 for a gym session, however, during this gym session, the screen went black and hasn't turn on since. It is 11 months since I purchased it, and this was not expected. I have tried all methods to reset and restart it but to no avail. Is this a common problem for all ?

Not trying to hijack your thread, thinking the more people that mention this the better though maybe a bunch of threads are better than one, we'll see i guess.

My fit bit was at 36% battery so I put it on the charger. I went to check it and it does not power on.

Speaking with a Chat help person now.

Hi Thomas, my Fitbit just froze too at the ECG screen. I hope it’ll be rectified

Was the chat of any help? I went to bed last night after just having charged. Cleared some email notifications, woke up a few hours later to another notification vibration, but completely black screen. Hard reset does nothing (I feel the vibrations, but don't ever see the logo)..again, everything is black!

Function seems to work fine through the app, however it's very inconvenient not to  be able to see anything on my wrist..such as the TIME for example!  Lol

My fitbit charge 5 stopped working on Sept 25. Black screen, and wouldn't restart even after an overnight on the charger. I shipped the fitbit, with the band and charger, out on Sept 27. On Oct 16 I got the fitbit without a band or charger. I called customer service and they sent a replacement band that arrived today. It does not fit the fitbit model I have. Still no charger. Customer service won't send me a new band until I ship back the defective one. It's been a nightmare. I think the Google takeover has really taken a toll on the products.

I just started having the same issue. First it wasn’t capturing any data & I did the restart & now it is but can’t get the screen to display anything. Very frustrating

I replied to your post but for some reason it is not showing. Yes the chat was helpful. In warranty sending me another Charge 5.

My screen doing the same. Despite being plus 80 percent charged it just blacks out and the app will not update the data. Does it every night and at random times during the day …. However when I connect it to the charger momentarily it wakes up and then will update and work ok for a bit until it blacks out again. Very frustrating and irritating 😠

They sent me a Fitbit but without band so I am waiting for a band.... have
been waiting for weeks now for it to be resolved.

I have received my replacement from Fitbit today and it works well. Thanks to the Fitbit team for helping me out with this!
