Hi.
Just got the charge 5 thanks to a very nice prime day deal.
I've seen the notes on the fortune regarding the lack of uk date format. Eg dd/mm rather than the upstart colonials rather weird mm/dd.
Did rhw coders manage to facilitate thw necessary change? I can't find it on the phone or app so my scientific, wild arsed guess is they haven't.
Any fitbit employees on here? Or sycophants with an on to the coders?
It's a small point but it's incredibly annoying.
I want dd/mm. By the end of the month.
Any one help?
Moderator edit: format.

Hi @Elmsy these forums are pretty much users of the Fitbit devices and the moderators stop by when needed. Customer support can be contacted, but they can't do what you'd like. The format is Month, Day, Year - not what you wanted, but you might find a way around it. Try looking at available clock faces or make a clock face yourself with the UK format.

Not sure why @Odyssey13 is saying this but you can't develop anything for Fitbit Charge 5 or other Fitbit trackers.

I too found the date format annoying. If you're still using the default clock face Continuum, it shows as 01/01, hardly helpful. I've changed clock face to Target, which shows Mon, Jan 01 which at least is slightly more informative and doesn't confuse me.
I don't know how to make my own clockface as suggested by @Odyssey13 though. Is this possible? Can anyone help, how do you do it?

Thanks Juan. For your cut and paste standard response.
Fitbit obviously takes zero notice of this forum if ine needs to repeat the complaint/ suggestion again on another board.
With today's AI one would expect a large, successful business to be scouring this forum for initiatives and research.
I'm wondering if I got seduced by rhe prime day offer and should have stuck with Garmin.
Anyway, I'll try to ignore the lack of functionality with the date and give it a go.
Have a nice day. 👍

Oh Juan.
I do feel for you mate.
As a mod you have to keep that Google smile on your face, and positively deliver the good news., that fitbit haven't made the change that allows dd/mm.
But they've got some new watch faces.....
Dude well done. You did your best.
Fitbit / Google really don't care see though.

Why is the date format only set up to suit one country? It doesn't give me much confidence in the product if you can't do a basic set up.
Can I return the Fitbit for a refund please?

Hi @Sally_O you can read about returns here - click to go there. If you got it from Fitbit, there is a specific time period in which to return it with no questions asked. I'm not sure if the time was extended for the Christmas shopping season, so you'll want to ask customer support.
when there is someone available, chat is an option. Phone or Twitter works well, too.
