I bought a new Charge 5 in Nov. Last night i charged the battery to a full 100%. It was shown on both app and watch. However, this morning it was down to zero? Anyone experienced this issue?

This can be the consequence of an adjustment made to your device's settings. What I advise doing is referring to the instructions or advice provided here. This article will cover the most frequent factors that may shorten your battery's life as well as suggestions for extending it.

Every since the last forced update my wife's charge 5 does the same thing. Used to last a week and now can't make it through the day. Not the only one, and not impressed.

Same here. Could it be they are trying to sell a new tracker? This happened with my last Fitbit a year ago.

I have the same issue - 2 days ago, I went to bed with the charge at about 60% and woke up to it being at 2%. Sunday night was the same. I've noticed that it loses about 10% every couple of hours. And I have not changed ANY of the settings since I got it about a year ago! And I got a Charge 6 that I can't use at all because I don't have a Google account and it won't let me set one up! (Just how many phones does Google think people have?!) Very frustrating.

Hi @JGan-Teo and all here is something to try,
Firstly restart the watch, secondly turn off the phone's Bluetooth and only turn on to sync once a day, it could be an issue with the Fitbit App.
If neither help your watch could have suffered damage from water or something in the firmware and can be replaced if still under warranty.
@llpierce - did you know for your Charge 6 Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy or possibly authorised dealers too, some stores provide 14 to 30 day refunds.
