How many of you are experiencing battery problems since the update?
Could anyone who's experienced problems with the charge 5 battery please post once on this thread so it's easy to count and present to show it's not a warranty problem and is a result if the update.
I obviously have battery problems. Had to charge it twice yesterday and uninstalled the SpO2 app to try to make the battery last through the night. Managed to wake up to 50% battery instead of it being dead by morning, even though fully charged before bed.

I installed the update and within an hour my phone battery was drained to 0%. Called tech support who told me to reset my device which I did. Now I can't even take it off the charger because the battery will go from 99% to 0%. As soon as it comes off the charger. I'm so angry. I am planning to submit a consumer protection complaint to my state AG.

I have the same issue, battery is dead in about 24 hrs, after removing it from the charger. I have done the reset, checked software update, etc. to no avail.

The update will make it worst. It's what is causing all of our problems.

My replacement just died. I received free of charge March this year. Battery went dead, random rebooting, not tracking steps etc. We will be purchasing a competitor brand. I have two bricked charge5’s. Maybe some future civilization will find them and laugh at the kill bot that was installed.

“Time to move on”: Fitbit owners fed up with battery problems, Google response
Charge 5 owners inundate forum, say battery suddenly won't last a day.
Fitbit owners are getting frustrated with Charge 5 fitness trackers quickly losing their charge and, in some cases, exhibiting additional problems. Google has denied that the problems are tied to firmware updates. But users remain skeptical, and some are fed up with Google's limited response to a recurring problem.
Charge 5 battery complaints
On December 21, Fitbit announced Charge 5 firmware update 194.91 on its support forum. On paper, the update seemed typical, promising things like new clock faces, support for right-to-left text, and "bug fixes and improvements," per the release notes.

Mine too…My Charge 5 is now 16 months old and won’t hold a charge for longer than 4 or 5 hours. Problems started in May this year, resolved briefly after support advice but now suddenly the battery doesn’t function for long. Really disappointed ☹️

My Fitbit as well, I used to charge it once a week and now I’m charging at least 3 times a week

Had mine on the plug all day yesterday. Put it on before bed at 100%. Now 9 hours later it is 19%. END OF LIFE behavior! They seem to last 2 years. I think there is a company effort to be fully DONE with all the charge 5's at a certain time mark. We have hit that mark and they are all going to fritz and die. This was my 2nd Charge since 2020. I am DONE. No more Fitbit/Google for me. Why should I throw big money away on a self-destructing product?

Well, 50% was their offer, butnI didn't take it. I should NOT have to pay a penny for their mistake. I am standing firm on that.

Adding my post. My Charge 5 died on Monday morning - the app shows high heart rate activity that didn't fit my activity at the time. I did the update after this hoping it would fix the problem, but it didn't. I have tried Reset and Factory Reset to no avail. There are no lights on the back. Sometimes the screen shows the logo, sometimes it shows the wrong time, but everything else is a blank line.

I have these problems too but I don't think it is the battery draining. My Fitbit Charge 5 just keeps turning itself off! If it happens at home, I wake it up by attaching the charger, the charge is usually good. The last time it happened, the charge was 91%, the display when it comes back on shows the time that it switched off & the charge. I have spent hours on twitter with the help team & they just keep making me jump through hoops, try this, try that. If you look back on the heart section of the app, it clearly shows the gaps where it switched itself off.
