I have a Fitbit Charge 5 and I’ve never been able to get text message alerts on it. (I get phone call notifications, but not text notifications). I have text notifications turned on in my Fitbit app, I’ve checked privacy settings on the Fitbit Charge 5, I reset both the Fitbit device and my iPhone 12 Pro Max multiple times, but still nothing. Any suggestions?

Thank you for all the information that you've provided regarding the problem that you've been experiencing with your Charge 5 and the troubleshooting steps that you already tried.
Before considering other options, make sure to follow all the steps listed here to resolve problems with notifications. This has been useful for other users experiencing the same problem.
In addition to the steps mentioned earlier, make sure that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app installed and to check all the compatibility requirements here. Keep in mind that you won’t see notifications on your Fitbit device if you've turned on the Do Not Disturb Mode or the Sleep Mode.

Thank you for providing all of that. Unfortunately, after going through ALL of those steps (inclusive of all of the sub steps provided in the documents) I still cannot get text notifications on my fibit charge 5. (Again, I’m getting the phone call notifications, but not the Text notifications). Is it possible to call in and talk live to someone? Or perhaps provide me with a different set of instructions? Appreciate any help you can give me.

@DaveBag-O Thanks for your reply and for confirming that you already tried all the steps suggested.
Since you're able to receive call notifications, but not text, could you please confirm if all the permissions and authorizations are enabled on your phone's settings specifically for the Fitbit app?
