Fitbit Charge 5 stopped working.

So,

I purchased my fitbit Charge 5 over a year ago. I went on a run with battery of around 40 something percent and when I came back, it did not turn on. I tried connecting it to the charger to see if it had drained (highly unlikely to drain 40% in an hour run but still), it still did not turn on. I tried to restart it with the 3 press method, it did not work. I tried to connect and disconnect the charger 3 times as an alternate method, it still did not work.

This is my second Fitbit Charge 5 which I have been through. The first one had similar problems. They deemed it as it might have been a faulty product (the first one lasted around 8-9 months). The only reason I have been buying fitbit's is because I have been loyal to the brand for the past 7 years (multiple products). I have all my health data synced for this time on the Fitbit app but all these problems have created a lot of friction for me. Lack of service centers and customer support have left me stranded with two non working device. And these are not cheap devices to be just used for a year and changed the next.

The only reason I started using Fitbit in the first place was because I heard a lot of good reviews from other people using the product for a long time. Those people are encountering the same problems and many have switched to other better products. But I think, Fitbit as a company after being purchased by Google has dropped the ball in terms of product quality.

I really hope someone can help me figure out a way to start my charge 5 again. Otherwise I would have to make a tough decision and move on from the brand itself.

Same happened to mine. 3rd Fitbit albeit different models, latest charge 5 18 months old. Put it on to charge and came back to it 20 minutes later and it was dead. Tried all solutions to restart but to no avail. Suppose I was lucky to get 18 months out of it. Probably won’t buy another Fitbit
