Fitbit Display stopped while updating to new firmware

I bough Fitbit charge 5 just a month back and as usual I put my Fitbit for charge today. The app showed to download a new firmware.. When I tried to do that it wasn’t updating. I was unable to switch the Fitbit on top. I have updated my phone, Fitbit app, the button press also shows the Fitbit logo, even the green light is working. Since the update wasn’t happening I tried to unpair it and pair it again. It is identifying the Bluetooth but when the app asks for pin, I have nothing to enter as the Fitbit is not displaying any number. This is my 3rd Fitbit and I am really disappointed with its performance. I don’t even know if the display will work, will it be covered under warranty?

Hi, @pallavivorkk welcome to the community. Have you followed the button press instructions contained here Update, Restart, and Erase ? if you are successful but it still refuses to resume the update try a Factory Reset.

I have done the button press. How to factory reset when I am unable to pair the Fitbit with the App?

Hi, @pallavivorkk Allowing - Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times, pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears has not resumed the update on your device then of course you cant access the factory reset. The point I was making was if you can control your device then go for a factory reset. The only other thing I suggest you check is that your Charge 5 cable is connected to a live USB socket. Try something else on the same USB to check it is working, note the advice Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

I'm having the exact same issue, except it happened after I successfully updated the firmware. Seemed to work fine for a few hours and now the screen is not working reliably. I've also noticed the battery drains extremely fast. I charged it overnight and it is at 4% in less than 4 hours.

Hi, @minortough, your best way forward will be to talk to "Customer Support" using the Chat facility or phone for a prompt response.
