Fitbit app won't update my current timezone

Hi, I moved timezones. From Europe to Asia, now I have the following problem. The time on my watch is correct, but everything that gets documented in the app is in the dutch time zone. I tried changing this manually but it won't accept a different time zone. I logged out, disconnected the device and did al the date/time things that are recommended. Does anyone had this problem as well? and how did you fix this?

Thanks!

Hi there, @mrs123. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit app is still showing the wrong timezone. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

To better assist you, please confirm that you've done the steps below in order to correct the timezone on the Fitbit app:

If you sign with your Google Account:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Fitbit settings.
  2. In the App Settings section, tap Date, time & units.
  3. Tap Time Zone.
  4. Turn off the Set Automatically option and choose the correct time zone.
  5. Sync your Fitbit device.
  6. If the time is still incorrect, log out of the Fitbit app, and then log back in before syncing again.

If you sign in with your Fitbit login:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the settings icon.

Hi,

When I log in with my googel account and follow your steps it gets stuck on changing the time zone. I can open the menu of changing it, I can click on Asia/makassar but the check mark won't stay there. When I go back its back to EU time zone.

Hello @mrs123

You might try clearing the cache for the Fitbit app on your phone, followed by a Force Stop. That might clear whatever is preventing you from making the necessary location/timezone change.
