Fitbit doesn't auto track Charge 5

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,

I'm having several problems with my Charge 5.

-It never auto tracks biking

-Sometimes it doesn't track active hours

-It often can't connect to my phone and I need to reset it completely before it will sync again.

Hello, this thing was expensive, why isn't it perfect?😂

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Jamie

Welcome back to the Community forums, @Jamie444

I appreciate all the information that you've shared about these inconveniences with your Charge 5.

If you haven't done so already, I recommend that you try restarting the device using the three pulse restart method described here below for the problem with auto tracking and active hours:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end of the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

Keep in mind the activities that are tracked automatically are: Walk, Run, Outdoor Bike, Elliptical, Sports, Aerobic Workout, Swimming.

Regarding the problem to sync your device, let me know if you already tried all the steps listed here to resolve syncing problems, and make sure to check the compatibility requirements listed here and to keep the Fitbit app updated to the latest version available.

Hope this helps, I'll be around.
