Garbage tracker. Won’t recommend.

Bought my first Charge about 7 months ago. Constant problems with syncing (had to sync 3-5 times before error would disappear). Bad built-in gps, tracks the path incorrectly. Sometimes doubles the distance during running - instead of 5km counts 10km. Bricked after 5 months of daily usage - stopped charging.

Decided to give it another chance. Bought another Charge this march. Same problems as before. Couple days ago the screen has died after 3.5 months of usage. Showed screen full of random pixels, day later died completely.

The “best” thing. Since both of them were bought via Amazon, they are out of warranty scope. So, I’ve got 2 dead trackers for 180 EUR/each.

Either don’t buy it via Amazon or… don’t buy it at all. Won’t recommend. Waste of money.

Hi, @AxelFo , if you bought your Charge 5 in the EU, and you live in the EU, then your Fitbit is covered under warranty for two years.  Amazon is an authorised retailer for Fitbit, so your warranty will be valid.  I would strongly recommend getting in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on Contact.fitbit.com who should be able to help you.

I did. I bought it via amazon.es and i live in EU. Contacted support, described the situation with latest charge. They said support will contact me via email.

"After reviewing your account, we see that your device is no longer in the warranty period, and therefore isn’t eligible for replacement"

I didn't get it. I bought it this year (march 9th) and it's already has no warranty??

"Although your device is outside the scope of Fitbit's warranty terms, we want to offer you a 35% discount on a new Fitbit device."

Thanks, but no thanks.

Definitely get back in touch with Customer Support.  If you bought it this year on 9 March it is clearly within the warranty period.  There is obviously some mix up, or perhaps they were confusing it with your original device? Either way it is clearly an error.

Well, I might give it another chance. But my new garmin is on the way already. Time to level up from this fancy useless “tracker”.

Agree. It's time to give the competition of a chance. The Charge 5 is one of the worst releases from Fitbit. It's disappointing Fitbit is ignoring an obvious product defect with the high failure that is occurring.
