It looks like that Google will lay off more and more of the Fitbit staff and seems to drop this brand after it integrated the Fitbit functionality into the Google Watches. Here's a good article about the situation BBC - Charge 5 made unusable Unfortunately Google doesn't understand that many people bought Fitbit because they wanted a reliable health tracker and don't need a Smartwatch on their wrist that needs to be changed every day. The original Fitbit User Interface was great and easy to use. Why degrading it now with unreliable statistics because Google got rid of Fitbit staff and doesn't want to invest in decent maintenance. Fortunately there are other brands who are still producing good health trackers if Google is only interested in the Smartwatch market.
