Hide calorie count?

I’m wondering if there’s any way to hide the calorie count? I’ve stopped using my charge 5 because of it. I’m a growing, active teenager and so I’m always hungry and need to eat a lot. Therefore I find it stressful when fitbit shows me calories burnt as it makes me feel like I’m eating too much because their count isn’t that high. My parents dislike it as well. Does anyone know if I can turn calories off? If not, it’d be really good for kids and many adults as well if they could add this feature.

Hi @flyingsquid

I was playing around with my Charge 5 and discovered something that might be helpful to you. I use the Runliner clock face which shows the progress for Active Zone Minutes, Distance, and Steps in a graph line as well as displays continuous Heart Rate on the clock screen. When I swipe down, I see the actual values for AZM, Distance, and Steps in addition to date & battery percentage. I don't see the Calories Burned value until I swipe up a bit which means I hardly see that value.

As @LZeeW suggested, you might want to play around with the different clock faces and find one where you won't see the Calories Burned value on your Charge 5 very often yet have easy access to the ones you want to see. And, if you have the Fitbit app on an Android device, you can tap the Edit icon to disable the Calories icon. Although your device will still track Calories Burned, it will be easier to ignore since it won't show very frequently.

Hello @flyingsquid and welcome to the Community.  I'm sorry, but you can't customize the Charge 5 device to remove it from your daily stats.  You can browse the clock faces and look for one that might not have it as one of the stats that you can see by tapping.  If you use an Android phone, you can remove the calorie icon from your dashboard.  There is a bug in the iOS app.  It keeps reappearing when you try to remove it.

Both of my children ate insane amounts of food when they were active, growing teenagers.  They were always hungry.
