How does it determine if we are going up stairs?

If the charge 5 doesn't have an altimeter, how does it differentiate between stairs and normal movement?

Hi @Cml007  it doesn't recognize altitude, so it counts only your steps. Remember, a wrist based device needs you to be swinging the arms so each step counts.  Read this article for more information - click to go there

You're right, I was confusing active zone minutes with flights of stairs, thanks
