Anyone has experienced how to stop the notification to add card in Charge 5?  I don’t intend to activate card in Charge 5 wallet, and it becomes annoying this notification prompts each time we sync the device.

As I said, before, I pushed best answer by accident and it would not let me
rescind it.. I did put an answer of how I solve the problem for my Fitbit
and I haven’t had the problem since that time. I also was frustrated with
the previous version and said that I would buy an Apple Watch but
unfortunately an Apple Watch does not have zone minutes. And somebody
actually gave this to me for free because I would never buy another Fitbit,
just me..

Sorry if I came off as a jerk - but I was super aggravated by the Fitbit
vibrating every minute. It doesn't happen ALL the time, but once it starts
it is truly relentless. I just turned on Do Not Disturb and I think it may
have solved the problem? At least the darned thing will let me relax for a
minute.

I have had the problem since start of Feb.  I tried all the fixes, but nothing worked.  buzz, buzz buzz even with notifications off.  I've noticed it getting better, and today it seems to be fixed.  battery only goes down to 90 overnight.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I haven’t yet had problems with my new one. If everyone on here demanded a new working Fitbit maybe they’d take notice. Or at the very least everyone would get a new one that works…for a while.

Yep, so it's 10:40 PM on the Saturday night before Easter Sunday and my Fitbit, a supposed, 'health tracker' is incessantly buzzing on my wrist asking me to ADD CARD to my Fitbit Wallet. The irony of this is unbelievable. Payment options and commerce is NOT the road to health and fitness. How can FITBIT (aka Google) imagine that endless electoral shocks and physical harassments is HEALTHY. Seriously. Get a grip Fitbit.

I've been through the process, so you don't have to. Here is what they said:

- It's a known issue, and they are "working on it". Yeah "working on it" since August last year.

- I asked for a replacement since it's completely useless. Currently, my Fitbit is showing notifications 3~5 times in one minute. It drains the battery to ~1 hour. Completely useless.

- They said I couldn't have a replacement because "It is a known issue", lol. They suggested I need to sit back and relax, waiting for the issue to be disappeared.

At this point, I wish it completely broke. What a joke 🙄

I also had the problem. I kept using my watch, mostly for sleep logging. Had to keep charging it several times a day. Over time, I noticed it getting better. Now I get the" add card" about once a day. My battery is back to several days between charges. Keeping my fingers crossed.

--------

Today, everything was working fine, and then I got a rec circle of death.  Some new disaster to deal with.  A red circle with X in the middle.

This add card notification is constantly popping up on my Fitbit 5 causing my battery to not last a day. If you cannot tell the time, monitor sleep, have to constantly have the device on charge, what it the point?

It may be ok to mark as best answer but this doesn't solve the problem. This constant add card message is draining the battery on my Fitbit charge 5, currently not lasting a day. If you cannot tell the time, monitor sleep,  and have to constantly have the device on charge what it the point. This needs sorting immediately. I have no intention of adding a card to my watch. This should be an optional app that you can access not one that appears to be hounding you to use.

deleting user data does not fix it

I am having the same issue and it is very very frustrating. My battery that used to last > 4 days now drains off in half a day. I am inclined to start posting negative reviews for charge 5 on as many platforms as i can if this is not resolved soon

I just decided to try fixing this issue AGAIN after months of leaving my watch sitting in the corner.  While still charging, it was incredibly frustrating hearing the familiar buzz and seeing the notification about adding a card.  I just tried removing the bluetooth connection, removing the watch from the account, deleting the app from my phone, restarting my phone, reinstalling the app, and resetting the watch (using the option on the watch menu).  Let's see how long it lasts...

Has there been any progress on this in the past four months (since Dec 2022). I continue to have the problem with my Fitbit Charge 5 randomly vibrating and telling me “Add Card  Go to Fitbit mobile app and add card to Wallet”… many times a day.

Amazing, this issue has gone on for this long. I am a new fit bit user with the same problem. You would think this would be an easy fix. This problem degrades the quality of the experience with this device.

That's what is so amazing...I looked back at how far back folks have been complaining about this. As a software engineer myself, I question the competency of the engineering team to not be able to stop a notification pop up with an update. And equally interesting is the product management team who doesn't seem to care about csat being low on a public forum, enough to push engineering to fix this 😕

The tranquility only lasted 30 minutes.  Today, I tried logging into my account on my pc and deactivating Fitbit Pay.  We'll see...

I've been looking on and off for a bunch of months and your technique worked! My wife's Charge 5 would wake her up at night to setup a card and there seemed to be no solution. I did this on her app and for a few days now, she hasn't gotten a notification. I don't know if it works for everyone or forever but for the last few days, it has been blissfully quiet about the card for her! Thank you!

I have no idea what I'm doing on this forum apparently. I meant to reply to Star55's technique of acting like I'm going to setup a card in the app and then backing out of it.

I’ve been a Fitbit user since 2014 and have loved several Fitbits over that time.  That’s why it’s so disappointing that this issue hasn’t been addressed. That said, I tried a couple of these options and only got one notice yesterday.  Today I started the steps to enter a card and then backed out. Maybe this will be the charm. 🤞🏻

Hi Davide, where have Fitbit got to with this issue of the 'Add card notification'.  It is now 4 months since you said the team were looking into it and the issue still persists.  I cannot wear my Charge 5 now as it persistently vibrates with the notification both day and night and in the night wakes me up.  The device is not fit for purpose and the notification also seems to drain the battery.  When is a fix going to happen or how do I get a replacement?  It has really put me off Fitbit and I doubt I would purchase another Fitbit product based on my experience with the Charge 5.

Message with customer service and demand a new device. I did and got one and it’s been better. And if everyone starts demanding new devices maybe they will do something about it.
