Anyone has experienced how to stop the notification to add card in Charge 5? I don’t intend to activate card in Charge 5 wallet, and it becomes annoying this notification prompts each time we sync the device.

My Fitbit Charge 5 has miraculously resolved this issue - so wanted to pass along my experience to hopefully help others.
What I did was:
Let Charge 5 run completely out of battery.
Remove Charge 5 from Devices in Fitbit App.
Re-add Charge 5 to Fitbit App.
Thoroughly clean metal contacts on side of Charge 5.
Fully charge Fitbit.
Let it fully die again.
Fully recharge again.
Disconnect from any wifi for several hours.
After this, the 'Add Card' notifications stopped, and the battery no longer drains at an accelerated rate. It's basically back to normal!?
Not sure which part of what I did fixed it, but hopefully you too can get it working normally again.

I am experiencing the same problem. It is extremely frustrating to be woken up multiple times during the night by my watch telling me I need to add a credit card.
It is also frustrating is to see this bug has been noted for over a year with no resolution.
Fitbit needs to step up and fix this ongoing problem or more long time customers - like me - will “ditch the bit”.
thank you Fitbit

Hi David, is there really no proper resolution from Fitbit for this problem that is affecting so many of us? I have tried everything for a few weeks now and like others I am still being woken up at night by these Add Card notifications. So I can't use the device and am right at the point of now going the Garmin or Samsung route after 7 years of Fitbit use.
So one last try - is there nothing scientific that Fitbit can do about this issue?
Thanks

Sadly, an app update won't fix the issue, just a specific firmware update.
Now that the Charge 6 has been released, the older model won't be a priority.

I think it’s the update. Mine is stuck on Add a Card for two full days now. Every once in awhile I will feel it vibrate and if I tap it I get the time but it goes back to Add a card!

I have this issue too. I don’t want to use the card function and I want the prompting to stop. I am tempted to remove the charge five from my app and go back to using my old charge to just to get rid of this annoyance. Why does everything want money? I paid for the device and I am not using the premium services so why am I being harassed?

Same issue. After the app update, my Charge 5 keeps prompting me to add a card as well as locking the screen. Incredibly annoying.

This is still not resolved. Adding a toggle to disable the pay function completely would be trivial. Do better.

I came here since this just started this evening, and I figured it was a new error. Only to find out that it has been around for a year. Only to find out the only "answer" is it isn't fixed. I am posting here in the faint hope that a true fix will be noted.

This issue is not solved! This is not the best answer. This is no answer. You know that it's a problem and the team isn't doing anything. Boo
