How to view the Charge 5 GPS mapping route?

Hey Everyone!! hope all is going well and life is **ahem** good!

I used to have a Fitbit years years ago and decided to get back into it, so I just bought a Charge 5 and I truly love it. Its been a while since I have used something like this. So my concern is I can connect to my GPS with my iphone BUT is there a certain app that is needed so I can see my mapped route ran? I would love to see that but just need to figure out how to get to it!

Thank you for the help! Prost!

If you mapped the run via connected GPS, the map should show up on the phone Fitbit app. Tap on the exercises tab on the dashboard and it should show the maps of the runs logged in. An alternate is to go to your web page dashboard and click on the exercises tab.

But what about phone connected gps runs? My charge 2 had this. It blows my mind I don’t see it for the Charge 5.

Connected (and on-device) both show a map in the app (after the exercise is complete.) I'm wondering if you have GPS enabled on the phone when you are using connected GPS?  On the C5 there is a little symbol on the display showing a phone for connected GPS and a tracker for on-device GPS.  Are you seeing those symbols during an exercise? [This was my same response to your other thread on this question.]

Hi there.

I see no icons. I verified my ios permissions are correct.

My previous fitbit charge 2 used this phone and had the same permissions.

Is it an ios deprecation?

Sorry didn't mean to post that twice. I saw that my watch is on "dynamic."

When I select my "run" workout it says "off" for GPS. I am assuming this is the problem? If I turn it on and have my phone on me, will it use my phone? it is only when I do not that it uses the built in GPS right?

Unfortunately, there are a number of posts on the Charge 5 thread regarding ongoing issues with GPS connectivity and accuracy, so I don't believe the GPS has been improved on the 5. I was hoping for a more reliable product.

@nihahi I've moved your non-stair count comment into a gps thread.
