Irregular rhythm notifications Charge 5

I know the ECG and IHR notifications are two different things on the fitbit.  Is the Irregular Heart Rhythm notification available in Canada?  or is it just the ECG portion?  Thanks,

Hi, welcome to the Community forums, @CorNol

Thanks for sharing your inquiry about the Charge 5.

Yes, as you mentioned earlier, these are two different features and both of them are available in Canada. You can find the list of countries where these features are available here

To activate this feature, you can follow the steps described in this article.

Thanks Davide ... I have tried many things, including unpairing the watch, uninstalling and reinstalling fitbit and then starting again.  I get to this screen and it will not allow me to "Agree".  You can see the page says Scroll down to continue but there is nothing more except what is on this screen.  Any ideas how I can resolve this?fitbit screenshot.jpg

@CorNol Thanks for sharing all of these details and for the screenshot provided.

When you get to this screen, the "I Agree" button should be activated once you've scrolled down right to the bottom of the page. Please try scrolling down as much as possible and then check if the "I agree" option is available. If it's not, please try the following steps:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Restart your phone
  3. Log back in and go through the set up process of the Irregular Heart Rhythm notification again.

I have tried all the suggested approaches including your suggestions and nothing makes any difference. The page WILL NOT scroll and hence the 'I Agree' box doesn't activate. This is extremely frustrating. Surely Fitbit tech team can sort out how to fix this. I am in Australia.

Me too.  Very frustrating.  I've all but given up and the only thing that stops me from returning the device for a refund is that the ECG feature on the actual watch seems to work.  So I'll have to be happy with that until FitBit can get their stuff together and fix this bug.

@MAL2023 @CorNol Thanks for sharing these updates and for all of your feedback.

Let me know if you were able to get passed this screen. Other users have mentioned they just had to scroll down for the "I agree" button to be activated.

If the issue persists, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the app and repeat the procedure to activate this feature. Let me know about the outcome.

I have tried all options including deleting and reinstalling the App. None of that makes any difference to the problem. I am using android devices and not sure if that is a factor. Your tech support people have also been unable to fix the issue to date.

Update! Success, I have finally been able to scroll down and Agree to the terms and now completed set up.  It was a long journey but the escalated tech support has obviously been able to sort out a solution to the scrolling down issue. Thanks.

No.  It still does not work for me.  But I guess there is hope now that MAL2023 has had it resolved.

@MAL2023 That's great news, thanks for sharing this update!

@CorNol I'm sorry to see that you're still not able to get past this screen. If the issue persists, you can also try setting up your Charge 5 as a new device in your account.

I am having this exact same issue there is no where to scroll down, I scroll it moves the page a bit but the I agree just does not work.

I think I found the fix. Where you have the writing where it says ''Allow Irregular rhythm notifications to use your data?'' you need to scroll down on top of the line where the agree button is. Scroll to the bottom then it lets you pick ''I agree'' not very well designed tbh... but that should work.

no, it doesn't work.  The issue, for me at least, is that the app does not allow me to click on I Agree.  No matter how many times I log off, reinstall, unpair, re-pair.  But FitBit got their sale so .....

Hi ColNol, I finally got the scroll to work on my phone, but only after contacting their technical people and getting it escalated up the line. So they must have done something in my case in my Account to fix the issue.

I was wondering if its an Android related issue. It was the only thing I could think of and I mentioned that to the technical people as I was using a Pixel phone (ironically Google own Fitbit!!)

Sorry, I cant suggest anything other than go down the path of the technical support. At the end of the day that's the only way I got it fixed.

That was my issue too. When you scroll down (on the main text section, above the I agree button) does it let you scroll down to the end? Once you do that the I Agree changes colour allowing you to click it.

Hi everyone, thanks for confirming that you were able to tap on the button after scrolling down to the bottom of the page. I'm sure this will be useful for other users as well.

@CorNol For the most part, users are able to activate the button after scrolling all the way down. Make sure you review the whole page, the button should activate automatically once it has recognized that you've read all the information.
