Is Charge 5 more faulty than others?

I have used FitBit products for years with no issues and just a week and a half ago decided to treat myself to a Charge 5. I traditionally had the cheaper no nonsense models ( most recently inspire 2 I think) 

Now with the more costly ( for me) Charge 5 i am having problems with it syncing and recording things like the EDA. ( EDA and ECG were selling points and important to me) I have restarted  it many times, otherwise I am at a loss and curious if I just got a bad one or if in general the Charge 5 has more issues

No I believe the Charge 5 has many problems and they come already installed. I have lost whole days of walking not being recorded NOW  my Charge 5 has stopped and I just get a black screen I have left it charging plus I have used a Q tip with alcohol to clean the terminals - nothing! Help!

I've had various Fitbits over the years and really love them.  When my Alta HR died after several years, I bought myself a Charge 5. On the second charge, the unit heated up and stopped working. Fitbit Customer Service instructed me to return the unit and they would send a replacement. I did as instructed and received a replacement unit (took > 2 weeks for whole return, confirm unit was defective, received replacement). The replacement unit does not work, will not charge and doesn't link through Bluetooth, so is essentially useless.  When I emailed Fitbit about the issue, they indicated that since they "hadn't heard for me in a while", they closed the case!! The reason they hadn't heard from me was that the replacement process took so long!! So, I either have to open up a new claim or just say the heck with it and get a different brand tracker. Not a good indication of the Charge 5 quality.

Previous Charges were great. I switched to the Sense which was a complete disaster. Huge waste of time and money. Now I just switched to the Charge 5. A bit of a disappointment. Far better than the Sense crap, but nowhere near previous Charges.

Bought mine about 17 mos. ago from Amazon. A few glitches like not
recording whole days of walking or recording Tues. workout for Wed. Woke up
to use the bathroom 2 days ago tapped the screen for the time and I was
greeted by the infamous totally BLACK screen no flashing green light left
it charging -Nada, Zippo Zero charge.

Mine just died 2 days ago no warning but it has acted up before. Lost days
tracking wrong info. on other days NOW it is just a BLACK screen attempted
charging , Bluetooth everything suggested and still MADA!

Not no green blinking light when you charge it! Mine is only 17 mos. old .
