As the title asks: Is there a weather app available or in the works for the charge 5? If not, why?

As you mentioned, unfortunately the Weather app is not available with the Charge 5 for the moment. If you haven't done so already, please make sure to add your feedback and vote for this idea posted in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community: Weather App on the new Charge 5.

Sorry, there's no weather app currently available for the Charge 5.

As to why not or if there's one in the works, that's a question that Fitbit development team would have to answer.
