Latest app update causing sync issues

Hello,

Since the recent 4.02 update my Charge 5 and child’s Ace 3 do not automatically sync, and when manually syncing, they take several minutes to do so. Actually, they do not even really “sync” as after several minutes I receive the “could not sync your device” message, at which point I kill the app. After restarting the app, the stats seem to update. However all the real time features like current HR, immediate step count updates, etc. are all no longer functioning. Do you have plans to make an update addressing these annoyances?

when is Fitbit introduced iOS version 4.00. I was excited to see they had placed a synchronized button on the home screens. It worked fine for a short time and became less effective as more people were moved over to version 4.00 and its subsequent updates. in the early days, it updated the home screen quickly, but now it is for all intense and purposes useless. Pulling to refresh works as well as the home screen sync button. I have reverted back to clicking on devices/applications, clicking on my tracker and then scrolling down to the sink now button.  I find that multiple sinks are required and usually do three, four or more in order to guarantee that the screens have been fully updated. It appears that the first sink updates some areas then that information is used to update the next set of data with the next synchronization , and with the third or fourth it appears that everything is synchronized. My assessment is that the screen synchronization was not stress tested sufficiently to identify issues within the updated software.

I also like how no one from Fitbit has responded to this…

No one from Fitbit will acknowledge any of the issues they are having. They told me it was my device that was the problem and it is out of warranty and offered a measly discount on a new device (more income for them). With the new update my app won’t update anything other than time and steps…and even the time is slipping in/out by 3-5 minutes at a time…dollar store watches are more effective. 1800s technologies kept time better than my “smart” watch now

Same issue since Oct. 17. I have a tech support ticket, but no one from Fitbit is replying to my daily emails about the ticket. I wish they'd just give us the previous app version back. My Pixel watch still does smart watch things but is no better than a cheap pedometer for health tracking.

Fitbits customer care team is unreliable when it comes to responding to customer needs by email. I have had the same experience with Google disability support when I have brought up issues with the Fitbit device and its accessibility for people who are blind and reading disabled. I have gotten to the point where if I have not heard back from them Within a reasonable period which I consider to be 3 to 4 weeks I sent them an email stating that I wish to have the ticket closed due to the unresponsiveness of the Fitbit teams. With Fitbit upgrades appearing to be made every 2 to 3 weeks I figure after a month if they have not  Corrected the problem in the most recent iOS version update it is unlikely that it will happen in the near future.
