Let’s start with this - I’ve been using Fitbit since the first Fitbit Charge. And I’ve been relatively happy. The last Fitbit I bought was the Luxe and it used to work fine.
For Christmas I hot the Charge 5 and I was really excited about it. Tried it on and figured the battery only lasted for a couple of hours. Tried resetting it, tried charging up until 100% again, tried restarting the app, restarting the Charge 5 multiple times.. tried everything I found here, and yesterday I gave up. It would sometimes last a few days, but more often than not, after I charge it, I would wale up the next morning to a dead device.
Yesterday I gave up and found my Luxe (which only has like 6months of use), charged it and put it on. Today I woke up and guess what - it was dead!
After everything I’ve tried, I didn’t expect this. I thought it was a faulty new tracker, but now I see my old one does the same thing. And I haven’t really had a workout or anything, just wore it.
So my assumption here is it’s the app that’s faulty and it’s connection to the tracker malfunctions and drains its battery. What should I do? Throw both trackers in the bin and get an Apple Watch?
