My Charge 5 turns off and it doesn't sync

I have had the Charge 5 for about a month now. First issue was that it kept going to sleep and was not responding to wrist turn nor tap.  Read here to plug it on the charger until i saw the fitbit image . Ok - works. But now this is something constant.

In addition, it will stop working daily. For example today: had to use the charger to get it to work. Then went for a walk and it was ok. It then stopped  -- time  stood still! No synching. Clock not working.

I am seriously thinking of returning it.

Any comments form this crowd before I do?

and if so - should I forget about the Charge 5 and get something else.
