This morning I had over 600 steps. Before work, I turned my location settings on and off in in my iPhone because I wanted one of my apps (not Fitbit) to stop using my location. In the process, I accidentally toggled the Fitbit off, but then quickly turned it back. After that, both my Fitbit and app reset to 0 steps. Now it is only showing steps after I changed the location settings, but not before. I tried restarting my Fitbit but it still is not showing the missing steps. I also tried disconnecting and reconnecting my Fitbit to my iPhone.
