Just over a year ago, I purchased a fitbit charge 5 direct from Fitbit.com. Been wearing and using it constantly, and really loved it, till yesterday when the screen refused to turn on. I went through the restart process and nothing. Charged it up yesterday afternoon, and by 2pm today the battery power was below 10%. Figured it was damaged, and draining the power from a short. But I contacted Fitbit customer support, and they are replacing it even though it was a month and half out of warranty. Gotta stay, I'm impressed by that.
