My solutions on how to solve Charge 5 screen issues

In March 2023 a user reported Charge 5 not returning to home screen. Recommendation was to press reset button on charger cord base 3x with 1 second delay between presses (all within 8;sec period).  After 3 tries it did work and dpfitbit returned to home screen.   Initially after C5 completed its charge to 100% level there was a brief message saying GPS not connected.  Screen was on pause and a few other white on black message screens,  nothing worked to return to home screen. After 3rd try pushing the cord reset button, however, bingo…worked.   I believe it was important to not press the button quickly but be careful to allow a full second between each press.  Hope this helps others with similar problem.   Another user posted pictures of their C5 screen showing the details.  To see his posting search Fitbit not returning to Home Screen.  Unfortunately the post was locked and I could not leave my reply as part of the discussion thread.
