In March 2023 a user reported Charge 5 not returning to home screen. Recommendation was to press reset button on charger cord base 3x with 1 second delay between presses (all within 8;sec period). After 3 tries it did work and dpfitbit returned to home screen. Initially after C5 completed its charge to 100% level there was a brief message saying GPS not connected. Screen was on pause and a few other white on black message screens, nothing worked to return to home screen. After 3rd try pushing the cord reset button, however, bingo…worked. I believe it was important to not press the button quickly but be careful to allow a full second between each press. Hope this helps others with similar problem.
