How can you revert back to the old look app? The new layout is terrible and very hard to read and understand. Your chat team say it can’t be reverted. Please can you change this quickly? Otherwise, it’ll sadly have to be the end of my Fitbit.

I couldn't agree more!! Loathe the updated app.

Not to mention you get zero “session data” now on the free version at least. Look at the comparison:

they have to fix this, come on Google!!!! Don’t be that arrogant that we won’t go to a competitor!

Great screen shots that show comparisons and how bad the new app is! How do we get this data to Google? I am trying to find something that has public visibility so we can showcase the issues and get some visibility with executives ?

Best Answer

The new system does not track totals for sleep well. Some days are skipped and others are incomplete.

I think we all agree. New app is a disaster and google involvement with Fitbit is horrible for consumers!! Sad to say been a constant in my life for the last 5 years but I will not repurchase once current device fails.

I am starting to research alternatives! Maybe if we all make suggestions of the best alternatives gGoogle might sit up and take notice! All they want is our data with no service

Now I’m wondering if I should have connected my Fitbit with Google.

Best Answer

I did join Google and it makes no difference.  Still only get limited info about activities and it only shows the last one even if I did several. It was such a great product til Google ruined it.

Agree the app has seriously gotten worse - the workout stats have went from good to abysmal - thought I didnt have premium anymore it was that poor - renders premium and even having a Fitbit a waste of time - how could anyone sign this off and get it so wrong 🤷‍:male_sign:

------

Yes the old data was very good - now new workout data is very basic and useless - this is a downgrade and I’d argue they need to refund premium users for this significant downgrade

I have never felt strongly enough about anything to post anywhere on the internet but with the latest so called ‘update’ to the Fitbit app I was compelled to share my utter disappointment. Why on earth would whoever designed this and whoever allowed the changes to go ahead think this is an improvement? It looks boring, you can’t find things very easily and what happened to the lovely graphs that showed you how hard you’ve worked out? I don’t actually see the point in monitoring my workouts on here anymore because it doesn’t tell or show me anything I didn’t already know by doing the workout. I think unless you bring some of the best parts of previous versions, you’ll be losing a lot of customers to apple and other smart watches. An absolute shambles!

Regarding only seeing one exercise in the app, tap in the exercise days box
just above the exercise you see, and you will see all exercises for the
week. Was better when you saw all in one glance.

Isn’t the point of a new app to make it better?  4 was bad, 4.04 is completely useless. To get any information, you have to log into the web dashboard. How about putting that useful info back in the app?

Best Answer

I haven't connected yet, it doesn't affect how the app appears. I'm just as disappointed as everyone here.

Does anyone with authority read our comments?  Someone monitors these posts but then what?  Is there someway of getting our well articulated critical feedback to those in power to respond. Keep commenting. Thank you all.

FWIW, in the iOS app update forum page where they announce the new releases, you do see that there are comments about missing features that have since been added back, like the battery percentage.  But I doubt the UI redesign will be adjusted anytime soon.

Best Answer

I wonder if they are “backfilling” data, as now I see much more than I did a few days ago at least for sessions I actively “recorded”. The automatically generated activities still don’t have data and is very generic.

It’s not just the look of it that’s very very bad, reminds me of the old Excel or windows 1995, there is important functionality missing too. The app no longer shows exercise heart rate breakdown properly.

Also i am struggling to understand how i burned the calories. I used to understand if it was fat, vs cardio vs peak ...

Anyone knows where to find these info?

Thanks

What a difference. I miss the data and the user friendly design so much

I came here to check if my app was maybe not fully updated or somehow in an error state. Nope, they just withdrew features like everyone is saying. Almost like they did it on purpose with the release of the Charge 6, hmmm. So I withdrew my Premium subscription and will likely never buy a FitBit again. Funny because I haven’t even had this product for a year, paid for Premium the whole time, and was raving about it before the update.
