Hi, @Wibby , it isn’t necessary to remove a previous Fitbit device when adding a new one.  This will happen automatically when the new device is set up (if it is among the devices that cannot work together on the same account).

@Arny_Dick as above, please provide a little more detail in what device (phone or tablet) you are using to set up your new Charge 5, how far you get, and what, if any error messages you are getting.  I am sure someone will be able to help.  If you were able to use a Charge 3 with your phone/tablet I am pretty confident that with a little troubleshooting help you will be able to get the Charge 5 up and running!

Hello @Arny_Dick

Another thing to be aware of is that you can’t have 2 Charge devices linked to the same account.

You’ll have to do a final sync with your Charge 3, then remove it from the App and your account. Your new Charge 5 should then be possible to add.

I hope that works for you.  I was scared to remove my Charge 4 when the time came, but it was painless and all of my data was still there.
