Have been sent a new replacement charge 5. All charged but won’t connect to my phone via Bluetooth. I have followed the troubleshooting instructions but nothing happens. Fitbit keeps asking me to download the app or shows me the battery life…. App installed and nothing. Not sure what to do next. Disappointed!

Hi there, @ALangford. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your new Charge 5 is not connecting to your phone. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

To better assist you, may I know if you unpaired your previous Fitbit device from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings? If you haven't done so yet, please try the following steps in the order listed:

  • Unpair your old Charge 5 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your new Charge 5 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 5.

If you continue having issues, please see Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
