New Fitbit Charge 5 doesn't charge

Hi,

I just received my Fitbit Charge 5. Since it isn't charged yet, I just connected it with the charger. Unfortunately the Fitbit is not charging. The guide mentions that I need to connect the charging cable with a UL-certified USB port. I attached my Fitbit to my laptop, a JBL charger and my Samsung charger, but I don't see anything on my Fitbit. Does someone knows what I am doing wrong or what the problem could be?

Hey, welcome to the Community forums, @LauraSelina.  

 

Thank you for the information provided regarding the inconvenience with your Charge 5. 

 

If this is related to the battery, please make sure that you've followed the steps provided in this article, as they have been useful for many users.  As you mentioned earlier, it is recommended to try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger. 

 

If the device is charging, but the screen is completely black, make sure that you've also completed the restart procedure:

 

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end of the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.
