New clock faces for the Charge 5?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello, when will new clocks be added? Espicially a clock with a an "always on step count".  Also, why can't the user drop & drag or edit clock faces? None of the clocks are customizable.

Lastly, you guys need to send more updates often. Apple has updates with new features almost every month!!

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @SP1568!

I don't want to sound rude, but the features you're requesting seem more in the realms of a smartwatch than of a fitness tracker.
As a fitness tracker your Charge 5 may be one of the most advanced, especially as it offers a one phase ECG that's officially certifed as a medical product in some countries.
It's bigger sibbling, the Sense (2) goes that one step further towards being a smartwatch offering a greater variety of clock faces.

With the Charge 5 you have an unobtrusive Tracker built on high grade materials (Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Corning Gorilla Glass), that takes as much care for your heart health as possible, all that at a really affordable price.

The thing is I don't want the ECG, heart monitor etc. I only use the charge five for STEPS!!  I could have bought the Sense watch or any other watch on the market but the charge five seemed to fit the bill. It does however what that irritates me is when I'm walking and tap the screen to wake it up the  steps goes away!! now do you understand?? everyone on the planet does not want everything your selling!! please tell me why not one clock gives the option of a always on step count?? Fitbit started with STEPS!!!

I will end this by simply saying if you don't wanna hear what your customer are saying I will take my business to Apple!! I already dumped google due to the tracking and the adds. Come black Friday this fitbit will be in the trash!!

Thanks for your feedback, @SP1568.

Your Charge 5 is constantly counting your steps when worn. You might want to try a clock face that will display your daily activities alongside with the current time. Some of those allow you to cycle through those activities by simply tapping, including your steps.
If you want your device to track any type of walking exercise, you can have it do so automatically or manually to add the ability of recording GPS data throughout that exercise. During that workout your device can always display your steps when woke up. Please have a look here to get more insights:

How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

Fitbit likes customer feedback. Like any other company that's caring for satisfied customers. That's why these official community forums exist and are maintained. But that's not always an easy game.
As there's not the one and only perfect device for every user, you as a customer have the choice among all those devices out there on the market to find the one that perfectly fits your needs.

On my charge 5 if I tap the screen it will cycle through the different metrics. Like you I am mostly interested in steps so I just leave it on the steps metric and it stays there until I tap through to see something else.

I would simply like to look down at watch and see the steps big & bold nothing else not even the time, or that other crap. You would think with the way technology has advanced this would be simple. I have a cell phone that tells the time, notifications. Fitbit wont give us an always on step count. The saddest part of all this is that Fitbit doesn't take any of our suggestions into consideration. This fitbit community is a joke! The automated template crap that they copy and paste as a reply back to us is a joke! I must say that Apple on the other hand listens and I will be trashing this fitbit soon!

I'd suggest giving clock face "Ice Cream" a try, @SP1568. It's as close to what you want as possible:

It's too bad whoever designed that clock face blurred it. I can't imagine who would actually want to use it. It would give me a headache. I like the default clock face but pretty much all the others are hot garbage. The designers really missed the mark with pretty much all of them trying to be cute and edgy but lacking function.

I personally liked that one a lot, @SW5880. Because being slightly blurred it has some extra style, and for that blurring has been named "Ice Cream". You see, different users prefer different kinds of clock faces. And sometimes you simply have to make compromises ...

Talahthas, I do not find the Ice Cream watch useful because again I do not care about the time. Do you see how 0925 is on the screen? That's how I would like the steps. Do you understand? "Always on" steps big and bold.
