I want to manually start a walking activity but it looks like that ability has been removed, why?
I don't want the auto track so please don't recommend that I want a proper walk activity I can start to sync with Strava.
This was in the charge 4 I've just upgraded from, not sure why you'd remove that ability

By default, the walk activity is not in the exercise shortcuts on the tracker. You’ll need to go on the app and add it to your shortcuts. Then you will be able to start a walk activity manually from the tracker.

Hi, you have my vote.
But are you able to turn off the auto-walking-notification? I can't find that option anywhere..

go to the phone app > exercise > settings> then it will show you the activities it will auto recognize and you can click on the specific one and there's an option to put it off, or choose a min time limit that you want to to reach before auto tracking

I was having the same issue, Go to the phone app >profile > click on the Charge 5 > scroll down to exercise shortcuts, swipe left to remove a short cut, then the plus button and you can add many different activities,
and then after that you can reorganize the list to your preferences
