I assume you have followed the set up instructions detailed in this help article (here)?
If you have and are still unsuccessful, I would recommend looking in your phones Bluetooth settings and removing/unpairing the C5 from there, and then trying the setup process again. Note that you don't need to manually pair the fitbit to your phone, the app will handle all of this during the set up process.
Best AnswerI have the same problem. I was excited to receive my charge 5 yesterday. I tried all the suggestions (turned Bluetooth off then on again, removed the app then reinstalled, rebooted phone) nothing worked. I have tried to connect about 20 times. It locates my phone when I put in the code it tries to connect but always fails. I have contacted Fitbit help and am awaiting a reply. I have a Samsung galaxy s7 phone.
Best AnswerI found using the online chat and going through a series of steps with a customer service person helped. It's now working fine. I did have to change a lot of settings in my phone and also unpair a heap of Bluetooth devices I never use any more.
