Not getting notification when steps reached

When I’ve achieved my step goals I do not get notification. I’ve reviewed all the settings with my daughter who is very good at these devices and can’t see what the issue is. Also found the instructions in the online manual didn’t help

I'm having the exact same problem, I noticed it over the weekend. It's extremely frustrating! I loved the 10 minutes before the hour advice that I haven't reached the goal I set, it got me up and moving! My settings show that I should be getting the vibrate. Grrr 😔

First day wearing my new Charge 5-- no reminders to move though I have that turned on. Reset device, tried turning reminders off and back on, but still nothing.

Hello @Woodlandfairy  @SherrieB @TressNSW

I’m not sure if any of this will be at all useful, but I’ll try anyway, just in case.

Are you talking about your Daily Goal?  Some of the replies in this thread are talking about reminders to move too.

There are a few things to check, just in case.  In the App on your phone is the Daily Goal and or Reminders To Move set to on?  After they are, sync your device.

Check if Sleep or DND are set to On on your Charge 5.  You can check by scrolling down from the Clock Face screen and making sure they’re both off.

Another place where you can set your goals and Reminders To Move is from the Dashboard on your computer at Fitbit.com.  Tap on the cog icon at the top right of the screen, then Charge 5, then check Reminders To Move and Main Goal are set there too.  Sync your device.

If that doesn’t work, there are 2 styles of reset you can try.  The easiest is from the tracker itself.  Scroll down from the Clock Face screen until you get to Settings, tap then scroll up until you get to Restart Device and follow the instructions.

The harder restart is from the charging cable.  Attach the Charge 5 to the cable and then press the button at the USB end 3 times until the Fitbit logo appears.

If none of those things help, it would be good to talk to Support.  You can reach them by tapping on Help at the bottom of the page, then Get Support, then Live Chat (that’s probably the easiest method to contact them).

I hope some of that helps some of you a bit.  If it doesn’t, I’m sorry.

Thank you @Wibby ! I did find that the watch had arrived with Do Not Disturb turned on. Once I turned it off, my Reminders to Move worked.

Hi Sherrie
mine has miraculously started to do what I wanted. I didn’t have do not disturb issue. I just kept reviewing and resetting the settings and it eventually worked 🤷🏻‍:female_sign:
