Overheated - Screen gone completely black

For about an hour or so the wristband was exposed to the sun and now the screen has been completely black for a day. I've tried cooling it down, tried a hard reset with the charger - without any result despite the logo appearing for a quick second before turning black once again. Currently I am awaiting for the battery to die out so that I can restart it that way. If that doesn't work - what are my options?

My last 2 Fitbits completely died when I wore them in full sun for an hour. Bricked. My first one was just out of warranty so I got a credit on a new one. And that one died while under warranty, so I got a replacement. Chat with customer service and make them walk you through a bunch of reboot steps; they can diagnose whether it's totally bricked or can be saved. Hoping for the best for you! When my current one dies, I'll just switch to an Apple Watch. I don't like the Fitbit app update and really don't like having to sign in on the browser to rename my workouts in the dashboard. It's clunky.

hmm mine is in the same state, I'm not sure it's the overheating it may be failed firmware.  Don't let it go to 0!  mine went to 0 and now my firmware won't update due to low battery which 1 day later on charge I get the same message.

Try this.. On your phone add go into clock faces or apps, try to change the clock face and see if the tracker will accept the new face (with the black screen) you may need to reset the tracker with the button 3 times and it's trying to connect.  Mine was able to talk to the tracker which then informed me of the firmware update (on my phone)
