Paint peeling from device face after 5 weeks

  • I have had my Charge 5 for 5 weeks and the paint is peeling from the device face in three different areas, it is noticable as it is white under the paint. I messaged customer service and have been told me that thay cannot replace the watch. In another 5 weeks the watch will be very patchy and I wont be able to wear it anymore.
  • I'm very disappointed as my last fitbit was fine after 2 years.
  • I bought online so it makes it very difficult as I can't go to a shop to speak to a person, the customer service have just stopped replying after one email.

Hello @MichelleQuirke2

Why did customer service tell you that they couldn't replace the device? If you purchased it from an authorized retailer, then it should be under warranty.

What paint? I've had mine for nearly 2 years, and I have no idea what part of the face is painted?

The finish on mine is a grey metallic. The grey is clearly only a light coat as its white under it.My partner has an old fitbit, his is black and its perfect and has it around 3 years. My first fitbit had a gold face and that never scratched after two years. Just seems to be an issue with this one. If yours is two years old it wouldn't of been in the batch where mine was made. And lucky for you it has lasted well 👍Sent from Samsung Galaxy-A51 Powered by Three

They just said it wasn't covered under the warranty, Sent this link to me http://fitbit.com/returnsThen they told me how to clean the band. I told them many times the issue wasn't with the band. It's the actual device face. Showed them photos.I don't think ill get anywhere with them. I will just buy another brand next time. Sent from Samsung Galaxy-A51 Powered by Three
