Past exercise I manually added has disappeared

I manually log my swims and gym workouts, and these were all showing fine on the app until this week. This week's are recorded, but all previous weeks (months!) have disappeared, & now only my auto-recognised walks are showing. I have tried force quitting the app, tried bluetooth on and off, phone on and off, reset my fitbit. My Fitbit app is up-to-date. I think I've tried everything. How do I get my swims & gyms back - it's looking like I haven't done any exercise!

Hello @Mandads , @Redrabbit , @Heather11111111 , @Ahoppz , @RS090924

There is an update for the Android Fitbit app, ver 4.26.1, that started rolling out today, 25 Sep 2024. I got the update this morning.

The app updates tend to rollout in waves. If you don't see the update right away, keep checking.

So far, I haven't seen any posts about an update for iOS Fitbit app. I suspect one should be rolling out soon, if not at the same time as the Android app.

Happy to report that exercise is recording normally. I have automatic
updates on and didn’t see any notifications. Checked on the App Store and
saw a new version went out sometime yesterday. Thanks for the updates.

Yes, discovered that last night. All past manually added exercise is back (sometimes recorded for the wrong time or recorded twice). New calorie burns seen all good so far, although old ones have not changed.

Hello @Mandads & @Redrabbit

Thank you for confirming that the app update seems to have resolved the problems you were seeing. I'm glad to see that you are also able to view your workout history.

Hi @RiekoC

I updated my iOS app as soon as it was available, but unfortunately the situation has not resolved. My manually entered exercise from August 26th onwards is still missing or incorrect, eg. showing minimal effort and calorie burn. I’m really not sure where to go from here…

Hello @Mandads

Thank you for letting us know that you're still not able to see all your historical exercise data.

I'm not sure what else to suggest and am hoping that it is just taking additional time for all who were affected by this issue to see their historical data.

The update did not fix the swim upload. There still is no laps showing and I swam over 700 yards and it told me I only burned 42 calories. That is not right. My moderate walk burns more calories then my vigorous swim. That makes no sense. I have attached a screenshot from today's swim. I really don't want to find another fitness watch and app but I need to have my calories tracked properly for my fitness coach.

The software update for my Versa 2 was 3 steps in the wrong direction. Particularly irritating is the disappearance of the exercise that I manually entered, no longer accessible anywhere. Sleep data less than useful, who approved the update? Give us the option of the previous software!
