Problem with the sync

My charge 5 makes strange syncs. All of a sudden I have tousends of steps even tho I haven't moved. Anyone else have the same problem?

Had the same problem with my versa 3 so I returned that but the problem comes back again. That gets me thinking it is something with the fitbit in general, like maybe the app does it?

Hi, @angeelicast , I think this is a problem with the app and has been going on for sometime.  I also sometimes see this, however the crazy step numbers disappear within a moment or two and the sync is immediately corrected, so your actual data will be correct.  You should be able to confirm this by scrolling back through your data.  You will find that those thousands of steps will have corrected themselves.

You should check to see if you have “mobile track” enabled on your account, which allows your phone to collect steps (in case you have forgotten to wear your Fitbit). You may find that the issue goes away if you disable mobile track.

in any case it is not an indication that your Fitbit is faulty.  It’s just a little glitch in the way the servers are initially processing your data, before correction.
