Can the Charge 5 support more than just text/iMessages?  I see old posts from 2016 but nothing newer.

I want to let you know that I recently moved your post to the Charge 5 board just to maintain order in the community.

 

Regarding the notifications on your Charge 5, there is actually a way to receive messages from other apps such as WhatsApp or Messenger. Please review the information in this article, "How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?", so you can set up your notifications.

Thank you and sorry but never use these posts. Thank you also for the article and I tried those ideas but still not receiving messages from WhatsApp but am getting regular texts and iMessages. 
Any more ideas?

Hi @Tway1961.

 

Thank you for confirming that you have already performed the steps suggested above.

 

Since the device is still not working as expected, I would like to check for a couple of things more: 

 

  • Make sure that you are running the latest Fitbit app version.
  • Make sure that you are not missing any software update (Android or iOS).
  • Make sure that your device is not in Sleep mod or Do not disturb. 

If all these factors are correct, please let's try to restart your Charge 5, following the instructions here: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
